Jenna Has Friends Over to Celebrate!

Jenna and Lawson eating at the kid's table.

What a sweet face!
Lawson's older brother, Luke. Jenna loves playing with these boys.
Singing Happy Birthday!
Her Dora cake. She asked for Dora cake every day for a week after her party. Thank goodness they were all gone within a couple of days.
Luke, Lawson and Ashlea
Yummmmm...Dora cake.
Her face was stained pink for a couple of days after this! (I am sure those of you that know me best, are wondering why on earth she is eating a store bought cake on her birthday. Well, I have attempted a cake once since we moved to a high altitude and it was a FLOP! So, until I perfect baking here, I will be serving store bought cakes! So hard to do!!!!)
Genesie
Lawson striking a pose!

Bella dressed in princess clothes.

Ashlea and Lawson playing balloon basketball. We had to blow up a balloon for each kiddo to play with. Who says kids even need toys!

Bella and Genesie sharing the drum. Funny...a few minutes before this they were fighting over it!
Jenna opened her presents. Yea! A new book!
A magnetic drawing board!
An Elmo coloring book! Score!

Jenna Turns Two!!!

My baby girl turned two on January 5th. My how time flies. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was bringing her home from the hospital. She had a great birthday. The night before, I let her open one gift. It was from Mimi and Papa and was the darling outfit she was going to wear for her party. She calls it her princess clothes.

Ooooo, wow! As she opens her new princess clothes.
She is very excited to get to wear it!

Her presents. She went right to the trampoline from Gumma and Bumpa. It is the perfect gift! She loves it and Mommy loves it because she bounces out her extra energy!

Time to try it out!
A drawing board from Mommy and Daddy. It's so cool. The crayons hold water. So, she draws with water and no marks are left anywhere in the house, except on the board!!!

A new sled from Mommy and Daddy. Sadly, we haven't had much snow, so I have only gotten to take her out once in it.
A princess castle. Funny...now, every time we drive by a large house, she says, "ooooh, castle!"

Our Christmas Potluck

Since we were staying on Colorado and we weren't having family in town, we decided to have some friends over for a Potluck. We had 4 two year olds running around and having a blast!
Three of the four having diner at the kid's table.
We tried to get a group shot, but Max was not excited about getting his picture taken with a bunch of girls. I'm sure that will change in years to come!

A group shot of the girls.

It may not look like it in the pictures, but there were in fact adults at this gathering. The kids are just much cuter than us!

Jenna Plays Dress Up!

Of course she had to take one picture dressed up as a princess while holding her Bass Pro fish! Ha!
Note: Still my old camera. Looking forward to getting much better pictures now! :)

Mommy Gets a New Camera!!!!!

So, finally! After YEARS of "hinting" that I would like a DSLR, Brandon took a hint and bought me one for Christmas! Jenna and I had a little fun with it this morning! Even Alfie made it into a shot.

Side Note: The pajamas that Jenna is wearing were a a gift from Gumma and Bumpa for Christmas. To say that she loves them is putting it mildly. When I was changing her into her clothes, so we could go to Target, she threw a fit of all fits!!! She kept crying for her Dora pants and was trying to kick off the actual pants I was putting on her and yelling, "No Mommy! No!" It was as though I was making her wear pants made out of fire ants!

Santa Comes to Colorado

This year, Jenna started getting into all that Christmas has to offer. It made the holiday magical for me once again. I loved seeing here face light up in wonderment. She loved going to the post office to pick up packages and she loved redecorating the tree.
 Our tree
Jenna's presents...well, there might have one or two for me and Brandon, but apparently she was much better behaved than we were all year!
One of the first gifts that she noticed after her tricycle and her grocery cart was her "Treasure." That is what she called her trunk with dress up clothes. This has been a really fun gift for her and her friends. Stay tuned  for pictures!
Checking out her new stringing beads. She is not really stringing them so much yet, as she is throwing them all over the floor, but she'll get it.
Yea! Food for her kitchen!
A baby bobble from Santa for her babies.
Hugs for Elmo from Aunt Hedder.

She got many more presents, but I was still using my old camera and got kind of annoyed with it!
