Merry Christmas Eve!

We started out the evening headed to the Christmas Eve Service. There wasn't anyone in the nursery, so we had Jenna with us. She did great!.....for about five minutes! So, we called a spade a spade and went driving around looking at Christmas lights.

After dinner and bath time, wearing her Christmas pajamas from Gumma and Bumpa, Jenna came downstairs to kiss me goodnight. I asked her if she would like to open one present tonight. She ran right over to the tree exclaiming, "Yea!!! Presents!!!" At first she picked out one of my presents to open. I told her she might enjoy opening a present for herself a little bit more. So, she chose a present from Mimi and Papa.

It was an Elmo Karaoke Machine!
It was a hit! Especially Elmo's Song!
Jenna and Daddy enjoying her new toy!

Stay tuned for more pictures!

Jenna Hosts Coffee

Jenna's little friend, Genesie, came over to play yesterday. Jenna decided that they needed to have some coffee to get their day going. They were so cute!

The Leaning Tower of Toilet Paper

I guess we really don't have to buy her actual toys anymore.
She was so proud of her creation!

Jenna Says, "Cheese!"

Lately Jenna has been very in to getting her picture taken. In fact, anytime she sees a camera, she points to it and says, "Picture." SO of course, I pick up the camera to which she responds with, "cheese!" After the flash goes off, she proceeds to clap and say, "Yea!" I don't know how much longer this phase will last until she suddenly decides that taking pictures is so not cool. So, I am going to enjoy it while it lasts. Here are some of the photos she has "posed" for recently. Enjoy!

Jenna Goes to Missouri Part Four: Random

The final post from our trip! All pictures too cute to not include, but couldn't really come up with any central theme for them other than random.
Jenna very proud of the healthy apple she chose to eat first thing in the morning.
You can't really tell in the picture, but she is sitting in a teeny, tiny rocking chair that belonged to one of Mimi's stuffed bunnies. Of course, Mimi wasn't going to NOT let her only grandchild sit in it!
Breakfast with Mimi. She loved all of her Dora utensils and dishes.
A game Jenna created while there. She called it Pumpkin Patch. She found every single decorative pumpkin and gourde in the house and either stacked them on Papa or Mimi or put them on the floor.
So sweet. Watching Dora with Papa.

Jenna Goes to Missouri Part Three: Bass Pro Shop and Santa

Bass Pro Shop is THE place to go on Black Friday in Springfield. Plus, they had really neat holiday displays and a free picture with Santa. Of course, it turned out cute, so I bought some as well!
Waiting to see Santa and checking out the reindeer.
Jenna showing off her stuffed rainbow trout. She became very attached to this fish immediately and there was NO way we were leaving the store without it. This fish has rarely left her grasp since that day. She has slept with it, carried it around the house, carried it in her Dora backpack and she even had to have it on the plane ride home!
Jenna, her fish and Daddy.
When it was FINALLY her turn. she ran right up to him and jumped up into his lap. She wasn't scared at all and didn't cry. She didn't smile either, but it wasn't torture.

"I want Dora and Boots to come live at my house. And I want Elmo to come over and sing Elmo's song. And I want to be in an episode of o Gabba Gabba. And...."
Then she saw this fish!!!! Fortunately we were able to talk her into leaving the store without it.

Jenna Goes to Missouri Part Two: Happy Thanksgiving

Mimi, Aunt Lori and Gigi.
Family picture. Jenna was so cooperative in taking pictures that day. She would say cheese and smile and then once the picture was taken she would clap and say "yea!" (I LOVE her new dress from Mimi!)
Aunt Lori and Jenna
Uncle Dave, Jenna and Aunt Lori (Note: this was the first time Jenna had met Uncle Dave.)
Mommy and Jenna eating turkey dinner. Yum!
Daddy and Jenna being silly.

Jenna Goes to Missouri Part One: Incredible Pizza

Last week we headed east to join Brandon's family for Thanksgiving. Papa had quite the itinerary planned for his favorite grandchild. On the list was a trip to Incredible Pizza. It's basically a souped up Chuck E. Cheese. Jenna had a blast! Unfortunately, due to the snow and cold we brought with us from Colorado, we did not get to go to the zoo or the park, but pizza fun more than made up for it.

Jenna rode the merry-go-round a million times and didn't even throw up.
Of course, Momy got queasy watching her though!
Thcar was not a hit. She got out mid-ride to go back to the merry-go-round!
The train was also a favorite!
Daddy and Papa raced cars.
Daddy showed Jenna how to bowl.
She was more interested in other things though, like her shoes!

Jenna Goes Fishing

Brandon had been itching to do some fishing for awhile, so he decided he was going to take his Sweetie Pie on a fishing excursion. Well, not so much an excursion as a stroll down the street. She was very excited to going fishing. Although, I am not sure she knew exactly what it was.

Daddy!Wait for me!!!

Trying on Daddy's fishing gloves. I am not quite sure why fishing gloves were necessary. I mean, it's not like they were out in the Pacific trying to catch Moby Dick. Is that the ocean in that story? I can't remember. It's been awhile since high school!
Watching Daddy fish and wanting a turn.
She finally gets her turn. Sadly, neither of them caught a fish. Of course, that could have something to do with the fact that Jenna was done after about 10 minutes.
